At the end of April 2022, the European Commission sent Observation Letters to the 19 Member States that submitted their CAP Strategic Plans on time. The comments focused on what countries were planning for rural areas, in terms of job creation, gender equality, digital access and rural infrastructures.
SHERPA partner, IEEP, analysed these letters and highlighted three cases: France, Spain and Slovenia. Member States have now until the summer to review their plans to consider the Commission’s comments.
