One of DESIRA partners from James Hutton Institute, Leanne Townsend was invited to speak at the DigiMetis Symposium held on 26 November 2019 at the Wageningen University and Research. Leanne’s talk introduced the main objectives of the DESIRA project and focused on inequalities created in rural areas as a result of bias in the development of Smart Farming technologies.
The seminar attracted a large audience and a discussion followed the presentations, including reflections on the role of Responsible Research and Innovation in rural areas.
