On 18 and 19 January 2023, DESIRA partners met in Ghent to celebrate their last General Assembly. With the end of the project approaching later this year, partners focused on how to take stock of everything that has been done, planned the work for the close of the project, and identified ways of ensuring sustainability of results.
During these two days in the beautiful Het Pand building in Ghent, partners focused on the policy and societal implications of DESIRA. This was done through several participatory exercises in which the consortium contributed to finalising some of the key results of the project.
Coming out next there will be the final version of the Conceptual and Analytical Framework, including the process of Participatory Theory Building, the Policy Roadmap, that has been co-created and validated by DESIRA and external experts, a Living Lab modeler to visualise the impact and scope of Lls, as well as other publications summarising the results of DESIRA.
The General Assembly was concluded by a foresight exercise , organised in collaboration with the Joint Research Centre (JRC), DG AGRI and the Horizon 2020 project SHERPA, to reflect about how digitalisation can shape rural areas’ responses to future challenges.
While DESIRA partners focus on closing the project and finalising the last tasks, take a look at all the resources and tools developed by the project!
