Aimed at highlighting the contributions of women towards rural development, forestry and farming, the seventh edition of the Innovation Award for Women Farmers has been launched by Copa-Cogeca. This competition was first introduced in 2010 to shed light on the hundreds of innovative projects conducted every year all over Europe by women farmers.
With 2022-23 being the year where Vision for Rural Areas will be at the forefront, this year’s topic is “Women Farmers at the forefront of Rural Areas”. It is an opportunity to showcase many innovative and novel solutions implemented by women to tackle the challenges faced in rural areas and, therefore, support the three pillars of sustainability: economic, environmental and social.
Applicants must be active women farmers and entrepreneurs (responsible for the entrepreneurial activity eligible for the award), as well as a member of a farming or cooperative organisation represented within Copa-Cogeca.
All the interested in taking part in the Innovation Award for Women Farmers have to apply by 31 March 2023.
